Narrative:The gyroplane, a RAF 2000 GTX-SE-F1, registered C-FEXN, had just taken off from the St-Hyacinthe airport, when it was seen in a right turn with longitudinal oscillating movement. The main rotor struck the tail, and the aircraft crashed. The aircraft was destroyed on impact, and a fire ensued. The pilot, the only one on board, was fatally injured. This was the first flight since the aircraft had undergone major repair following an accident that occurred on September 5, 2005.
