Narrative:Takeoff at 23:43 hrs for an operation to Köln in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
The aircraft was coned by searchlights for 5 minutes & intercepted and shot down by night fighter pilot Oberfeldwebel Gerhard Herzog of the 3./NJG 1, who was flying a Bf 110 from Venlo airfield in the Netherlands.
