Narrative:Feindflug (operational sortie). On this night, RAF Bomber Command raided Remscheid in Germany.
The aircraft was shot down immediately after takeoff, by an enemy intruder aircraft. The pilot, Leutnant Friedrich-Otto Erlinghagen, perished due to his parachute not opening (insufficient altitude).
