Narrative:
Airborne 10:30 for reconnaisance to Siegfried Line. Shot down by Bf.109 at St. Johann, a municipality in the district of Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg near Bad Kreuznach, 33 km SW of Mainz, in Germany (at approximate Coordinates: 48°27′10″N 09°20′35″E)
Crew:
Pilot:Pilot Officer 39890 Alexander Donald Morton 27 RAF killed.
Pilot:Sgt 514006 Geoffrey Storr 26 RAF killed.
Wireless Op/Air Gunner: AC.1 543541 Frederick Albert Twinning 19 RAF killed.

Pilot Officer Morton is also commemorated on a family grave in the churchyard of the church of Saints Peter and Paul, Ewhurst. Surrey. See source 8.
