Narrative:
De Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth MSN 82212 (Gipsy Major #81092); Taken on charge as N6974 at 19 MU RAF St Athan, South Glamorgan 22.7.39. To 36 MU RAF Sealand, Flintshire 6.3.40; packed and crated for shipping to South Africa 1.4.40. Taken on charge by SAAF as '545'. To 1 Air School, Baragwanath Aerodrome (Sylerfontein Airport), Lenasia, Gauteng, near Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Written off (destroyed) when spun into the ground from 500 feet, and crashed at Baragwanath Aerodrome, (Sylerfontein Airport), Lenasia, Gauteng, near Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa 17.1.41; both crew killed.
