The crew of this training flight deviated from the approach route by mistake. CVR recordings indicated that they, although perplexed, failed to correct the flight path and descended into thick clouds that shrouded mountains, leading to CFIT.
Note: sometimes reported as Yun-7-100 and date 02.95* or "Xiayan-type"***/location as near Jinan and Tayuan*/also reported B-3624 (42-5501056) displayed in a car park in China**
