Guimbal Cabri G2 G-CJEK crashed just before noon on 20 June 2022, into a field off Bentham Road, near Burton in Lonsdale, when approaching the house of the pilot, at Lower Greta Bank, Barnoldswicklane, Burton in Lonsdale, North Yorkshire, and was destroyed by a post impact fire. At least 4 fire engines and an air ambulance attended the scene. Both occupants died at the scene.
