Narrative:The pilot was landing on runway 17. Just after touchdown, a gust of wind lifted the aircraft off the runway. The aircraft came down and bounced three to four times. The left wheel, axle, and brake assembly separated, and the airplane slid on the left wing. Recorded winds were from 190 degrees at 14 knots, gusting to 19 knots.
Probable Cause: the pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control, and his inadequate recovery from the bounced landing. A contributing factor was the wind gust.
