Narrative:The pilot of the tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that, during an off-airport landing on wet, marsh vegetation, he used "excessive braking," and the airplane nosed over.
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the left wing lift struts and rudder.
The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
Probable Cause: The pilot's use of excessive braking during the landing roll, which resulted in a nose-over.
