Narrative:
Lion Air flight JT330, a Boeing 737-800, suffered engine problems after takeoff from Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK).
Lion Air stated that the flight crew reported a loss of engine performance at 3000 feet after takeoff. The flight stopped the climb and returned to CGK, where it landed safely 30 minutes after departure.
Unconfirmed reports suggest flames were visible from the no.1 engine exhaust.
