A Cirrus SR22T GTS, N217SY, force landed in a pond after the pilot pulled the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) during a diversionary attempt to Louisiana Regional Airport (REG), Gonzales, LA.
The pilot, who was the only person on board, was not injured.
