The experientially built Robert J Norris Steen Skybolt SF-1, suffered a main gear collapsed during a forced landing in a park following a loss of engine power.

The pilot reported an engine failure and attempted an emergency landing in a field. During landing, a wheel broke off and the plane crashed.
