On June 18, 2023, at about 2008 local time, a SOCATA MS.893A Rallye Commodore 180, Hungarian registration HA-BNS, was destroyed when it impacted the water north of Arkösund, near Norrköping, Sweden.
The two airline transport pilots were fatally injured. The flight originated from Poland, and was destined to Dala-Jarna Airport (ESKD), Sweden.
The purpose of the flight was to buy another aircraft in Sweden, it appears that the crew diverted to Nyköping/Skavsta (ESKN), Sweden, due to adverse weather conditions.
On the day and time of the accident, ESKN and Norrköping (ESSP) airports, located about 25 NM west of the accident location, both reported BKN/OVC between 300 and 500 feet with visibilities varying from less than 3 km to more than 10 km with occasional rain or drizzle.
Both pilots were Hungarian, also they were professional Airliner pilots. One of them previously worked at Norwegian Long-Haul, they were pilots of the Hungarian Wizz Air.
