Narrative:On May 25, 2023, about 1245 Pacific daylight time, a Cessna 310I airplane, N6PK, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Sunnyside, Washington. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight.
The pilot reported that shortly after a normal landing, the airplane’s right main landing gear collapsed causing the right wing to drop. Subsequently, the airplane veered to the right and exited the runway.
The airplane was recovered to a secure facility for future examination.
