Narrative:Morningstar Air Express flight MAL7090, a Boeing 757-2B7(SF), was climbing through 17 000 feet when the crew observed a L HYD QUANTITY EICAS message. The left hydraulic quantity subsequently dropped from 90 to 0; the QRH checklist was performed and the aircraft returned to CYYC. The captain declared a PAN PAN. Emergency vehicles were deployed and inspected the aircraft after landing without incident. The aircraft was towed back to the apron.
The aircraft was ferried to Toronto on July 15 and resumed regular service on 18 July 2023.
