A paramotor crashed at Yoichi Aerodrome shortly after takeoff. A male pilot sustained injuries with a chest pain. According to the eyewitness, the paramotor made a right turn in low altitude just after takeoff, and was blown down by a following wind.
At the time of the accident, "2023 Hokkaido SKY SPORTS FAIR in Yoichi" was held at the aerodrome.
Yoichi Aerodrome has a single runway 04/22 (800 meters long) with field elevation 139 feet, and is well known as "Appleport Yoichi".
