Aircraft crashed while landing on the HMS Implacable, bounced over barriers and struck Bofors Gun on island before striking Sea Hornet VR853. The pilot escaped with minor injuries.

Lt Andy Hamilton RN, landing Sea Hornet VR885/452 on HMS Implacable on 7 Feb 1950. Aircraft bounced over barriers, hit Bofors Gun on island then crashed into Sea Hornet (VR853/458) in deck park. Pilot stepped out with minor bruises and flew 2 sorties following day pic.twitter.com/ZkGf7hcnHh
