Narrative:THE PILOT EXPLAINED THAT DURING THE INITIAL CLIMB, THE AIRPLANE STALLED AND SUBSEQUENTLY CRASHED ONTO A GRAVEL BAR. THE AIRPLANE WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.
Probable Cause: THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND'S FAILURE TO MAINTIAN AIRSPEED.
