Probable Cause: INADEQUATE PREFLIGHT BY THE STUDENT PILOT, INADEQUATE SUPERVISION (TO ASSURE A PROPER PREFLIGHT) BY THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT (CFI), AND WATER CONTAMINATION OF THE FUEL. THE TERRAIN WAS CONSIDERED TO BE A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR.
