Narrative:THE GLIDER PLT WAS MANEUVERING FOR A THERMAL WHEN HE ENCOUNTERED A DOWNDRAFT. THE PLT SAID INSUFFICIENT ALTITUDE REMAINED FOR AN AIRPORT LANDING. AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING ON ROUGH TERRAIN RESULTED IN DAMAGE TO THE GLIDER.
