Narrative:THE STUDENT PILOT WAS FLYING SOLO FOR THE FIRST TIME. TWO LANDINGS HAD BEEN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY. THE PILOT MISJUDGED THE FINAL APPROACH AND TOUCHED DOWN SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE.
