THE PLT WAS UNABLE TO DIVERT AROUND NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ALONG IN HIS FLIGHT PATH. SUBSEQUENTLY, HE MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING ON A SOFT, DRY LAKE BED WERE THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER.
