THE PLT STATED THAT WHILE HE WAS ON AN AERIAL APPLICATION MISSION, THE HELICOPTER RAN OUT OF FUEL. DURING AN AUTOROTATION, THE MAIN ROTOR SEVERED THE TAIL BOOM.
