Narrative:THE PLT REPORTED UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE ACFT CONTACTED A PATCH OF ICE CAUSING IT TO SLIDE SIDEWAYS RESULTING IN A LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSE. ATC TWR WITNESSES STATED THE ACFT APPEARED FAST ON FINAL AND A HARD LANDING WAS MADE.
