Narrative:WHILE DESCENDING FOR A LANDING THERE WAS A SEPARATION OF AN OUTBOARD SECTION OF THE MAIN RED ROTOR BLADE. AN OLD CRACK WAS NOTED & THE FRACTURE WAS ATTRIBUTED TO HIGH STRESS LOW CYCLE FATIGUE DAMAGE INITIATING FROM CORROSION PITTING.
