Narrative:WHILE ON APPROACH THE PILOT ENCOUNTERED WIND SHEAR AND DOWNDRAFTS AND SUBSEQUENTLY STRUCK THE NUMBER 2 APPROACH LIGHT STANCHION. THE GEAR ASSEMBLY SHEARED OFF AND THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RUNWAY AND VEERED TO THE RIGHT.
