THE PILOT WAS TOO HIGH ON AN IFR APPROACH AND ELECTED TO CIRCLE AND LAND. DURING THE TURN HE COLLIDED WITH TREES BUT CONTINUED THE APPROACH AND LANDED. THE LEFT WING AND STABILIZER WERE DAMAGED.
