Narrative:
A Piper PA-46-500TP Malibu Meridian, N241PM, was destroyed following an apparent inflight breakup and impact with open field terrain 12 miles southeast of Marianna, Arkansas.
The private pilot and passenger were fatally injured.

The reported weather conditions at a nearby report were wind from 180° at 8 knots, visibility 10 statute miles, broken cloud layer at 11,000 ft, overcast cloud layer at 19,000 ft, temperature 23°C, dew point 17°C, and an altimeter setting of 29.88 inches of mercury.
