A Cessna U206E, registration HK-4070, collided with elevated terrain near Ituango, between Girardot and San Pedro de los Milagros, Colombia. Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed in the area at the time of the accident.
The airplane was destroyed and the pilot and five passengers were fatally injured. The flight originated about 10:47 CST, from Olaya Herrera Airport, and the aircraft crashed head-on into a hill, just 20 meters from the top. The mishap occurred five minutes after the aircraft took off from Olaya Herrera Airport.
Cause: continued visual flight in instrument conditions.
