Narrative:Written off 29 January 1989: Crashed into the Yellow Sea just off the west coast of South Korea soon after take off from Kunsan Air Base, North Jeolla Province, at approximate co-ordinates 35°54′14″N 126°36′57″E.
Pilot ejected and was rescued by a US Army Chinook. The wreck was salvaged by a US Navy vessel. Recovery from the sea took about a week.
