Narrative:Feindflug (operational sortie). On this night, RAF Bomber Command raided oil production facilities at Homberg and Bottrop in Germany.
Due to the explosion of 405 Squadron Lancaster PB174, the Nachtjagd crew of Hptm. Martin Drewes, Fw. Erich Handke & Ofw. Georg Petz had to bale out of their severely damaged Messerschmitt, Drewes and Petz with injuries.
