Narrative:Feindflug (operational sortie). On this night, RAF Bomber Command flew to targets in France.
The Messerschmitt was shot down by a Mosquito of the Fighter Interception Unit RAF, which claimed a 'Do 217' destroyed 10 miles west of Antwerpen at 01:45 hrs.
The crew of three all bailed out, injured. The pilot and his Bordfunker were severely injured while the Bordschütze was slightly injured.
