Narrative:Bei Nachtzieldarstellung von hinten angegriffen, der linke Motor brannte sofort, FF FSA.
The aircraft was attacked from behind while engaged in a target simulation exercise, the left engine immediately burst into flames. The attacker has been identified as the night fighter crew of Pilot Officer Tull & Pilot Officier Cowgill of 219 Squadron RAF, who were flying a Mosquito NF.XVII (HK248) from RAF Bradwell Bay in England.
The pilot managed to escape by means of the ejection seat:
