Takeoff at 23:00 hrs for the third 1000 bomber raid, this time the target being Bremen in Germany.
The aircraft was hit by Flak over Bremen and probably finished off by a night fighter of the II./NJG 2 based at Leeuwarden airfield and patrolling in GCI-box Tiger (based at Terschelling island).
Aircraft was still wearing 311 Sqdn codes. Three of the crew are missing in action:
