On Op Circus 12 en route from RAF Wattisham (takeoff at 06:19) to attack an airfield in St Omer. Presumed lost at sea.Flt Lt Windram is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery; Plt Off Howes rests in Bergen op Zoom War Cemetery, while Sgt Cox is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
Crew: F/Sgt Robert Louis COX 751656, F/L Peter WINDRAM and P/O Peter R G HOWES.
