Narrative:Mission-Armed Reconnaissance. Took off from RAF Honington at at 1536 hrs. Lost in circumstances similar to R1758. The aircraft was shot down by a Bf 109 of Jagdgeschwader 26 near Vlissingen.
Sgt Mansfield rests in the Canadian War Cemetery at Adegen in Belguim, while at Vlissingen in Holland can be found the grave of Sgt Partington, whose parents lived in Buenos Aires. The rest of those who died are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial:
