Narrative:
At 19:11 hrs local time, the Vickers Wellington Ic, R1326, 'HA-G' of 218 (Gold Coast) squadron RAF took off for a mission to Bremen in Germany from RAF Marham, Norfolk. Target is the Focke-Wulf works.

Wellington Mk Ic HA-G R1326 was shot down by Feldwebel Hans Rasper of the 4./NJG 1 (who was flying Bf 110D G9+HR from Bergen airfield) at 21.46hrs, the aircraft crashed into the river at Gouwe Sloot near Opperdoes. The crew were initially buried in the New General Cemetery Opperdoes. The crash site was investigated and items removed by the Dutch Air Force in September 1972.
