Narrative:
EA-6B Prowler BuNo. 158803/'AB-613' of VAQ-133, US Navy: crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on a mission from the USS John F. Kennedy on July 30, 1978. At the time, the carrier was probably off Naples, Italy. She left Naples on 20 July to participate in three exercises: BuzzardEx 78, National Week XXV, and ASW Week 8-78, which ran consecutively until 4 August, after which the ship visited Trieste, Italy (6-12 August).

All three crew - Lt Commander D. E. Church, Lt (JG) J. W. Knight and Lt C. R. Sharrat - ejected safely
