de Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth MSN DHA.103; Built by DeHavilland Australia, at Bankstown, Sydney, NSW. Taken on charge by the RAAF as A17-106 at 2 Aircraft Depot, Richmond 30.9.40. To 8 EFTS Narrandera 14.10.40. Damaged in heavy landing; Port compression strut broken 23.6.41. To DHA Mascot 4.12.42 for overhaul; to 2 AP 19.1.43. To 1 AOS 24.1.43; issued to 5 EFTS Narromine 1.2.43. To 11 EFTS Benalla 22.3.43; to storage reserve 25.7.45; for sale 6.12.45. To Care & Maintenance Unit Benalla 1.3.46.

Struck off charge when sold 30.5.46 for £260 to J S Lynch, Northbridge, NSW; issued 19.6.46. Regd VH-ARO 5.10.46 to Nigel Ross, Holbrook, NSW. Australian registration cancelled 12.11.47 as 'sold to New Zealand'.

Re-registered in New Zealand as ZK-AXV 30.11.50 to Canterbury Aero Club. NZ C of A issued 8.11.51. Re-registered 13.7.56 to D McCarthy and operated by Ruapehu Aero Club, Taihape. Re-registered 4.7.57 to D Griffin, Morton.

Written off (damaged beyond repair) when ran off airstrip into gully when landing at Rata Airstrip, New Zealand, 16.7.57; pilot Lourie. Registration ZK-AXV cancelled 31.10.57.
