Stampe SV-4B G-AVKW seems to have had a short life on the UK register. It was first registered (C of R R9563/1) on 1/5/67 to Norham Herbert Jones of Claygate, Surrey.
Written off 29/10/67 when Crashed near Tilburstow Hill, Godstone, Surrey. Both occupants survived, but were seriously injured. A contemporary newspaper report has further details ("Liverpool Echo" - Monday 30 October 1967):
"AIR CRASH WOMAN SERIOUSLY ILL
A woman passenger in a light aircraft which crashed near South Godstone, Surrey. yesterday, was said to be seriously ill in Redhill General Hospital to-day. She is Miss Beryl Sanders, of Doods Place, Reigate, who has head and chest injuries. The other occupant of the aircraft. Mr. Joseph Billyack, of Pullman Court, Streatham Hill, London, is fairly satisfactory in the hospital, where he is being treated for a fractured pelvis.
Registration belatedly cancelled by the CAA as aircraft "destroyed" on 29/6/70 (almost three years later)
