Mosquito HJ717/U: Took off at 22:15 hrs for night patrol to Foggia. 17/09/1943
Made two successful attack for trains near Foggia. The Mosquito suffered engine failure .
The pilot made an emergency landing at Lecce. The crew were unhurt and received hospitality from the italians. .
