Narrative:
Crashed in mountain 15 minutes after takeoff from La Florida airport, La Serena. The pilot informed ATC about a technical problem. The aircraft crashed shortly later near the km 570 marker on Highway 5. Both occupants were killed.

Most likely cause of the accident
The most probable cause of the accident would have been that during the execution of an aerial magnetic prospecting work, the pilot lost situational awareness, operating the aircraft in a low altitude flight condition, which did not allow him to avoid hitting the side of a hill.
