Narrative:
49-3589 (MSN 168-743): Accepted by USAF at Downey, CA 13November 1951. To Air Materiel Command, Long Beach, CA 13 November 1951. To Sacramento Air Materiel Area (SMAAR), McClellan AFB, CA 15 November 1951. To San Francisco Port of Embarkation 13 December 1951. To 601st ACR Squadron, 13th Air Materiel Group, Kisarazu AB, Japan 27 January 1952.

To 6148th Tactical Control Squadron, 6147th Tactical Control Group, Fifth Air Force, Pyeongtaek AB (K-6), South Korea 27 January 1952. To 6148th Tactical Control Squadron, 6147th Tactical Control Group, Fifth Air Force, Chuncheon AB (K-47), South Korea 4 May 1952. Crash landed and nosed over after a combat mission at Chuncheon 15 May 1952. To 6401st Field Maintenance Squadron, Kimpo AB (K-14), Seoul, South Korea 16 Jun 1952 for repairs. Returned to 6147th Tactical Control Group, Fifth Air Force, Chuncheon AB (K-47), South Korea 24 Junne 1952 after repairs.

Written off (destroyed) in Forward Air Control operations: Shot down by ground fire, crashed and burned 21 April 1953 over enemy lines in North Korea. Both crew posted as KIA (Killed In Action); bodies of crew not found/not recovered

Second Lieutenant Taddeo of Rosele, NJ (Born May 26, 1930) was the pilot of a LT-6G Mosquito control aircraft with the 6148th Tactical Air Control Squadron, 6147 Tactical Air Control Group. On April 21, 1953, while on a combat mission, his aircraft received a direct hit by anti-aircraft fire, crashed and burst into flames. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. For his leadership and valor, Second Lieutenant Taddeo was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
